I trained in Zoology, before completing an MSc in Wildlife Management at Newcastle University, where I am currently undertaking a PhD, studying canine gait and osteoarthritis detection.
My PhD explores the potential for earlier diagnosis and treatment of canine osteoarthritis, using sensor technology. My project will combine the use of accelerometers, motion capture and Delphi consultation, to validate an early warning and monitoring system for canine osteoarthritis, before determining the most effective means of implementing such a system within the veterinary healthcare sector.
